There are always flowers for those who want to see them

Yes, there are always flowers, and for those of us in the northern hemisphere, especially at this time of year. Is there a photographer anywhere, I wonder, who doesn’t want both to see them and to capture them forever?

A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms.

I am sure we can find plenty of flowers in groups of three for Thursday Trios, if we look carefully enough. And hopefully they won’t be in competition with each other!

Yes, perhaps we can find some fruit too! And other botanical threesomes. Some of these were photographed in various parts of the world, on my travels. But the pelargoniums in my feature photo were photographed just yesterday in our own small back garden. Proof, if it were needed, that there is beauty to be found wherever we look, near or far.

Grounded!

And it is needed at the moment, for me at least. We should have been flying to Sofia this morning for a long weekend. But instead we’re grounded because after two and a half years Covid has finally caught me. Fortunately I don’t feel too rough, but travelling anywhere just isn’t possible. We’ve been able to reschedule for later in the year so aren’t really out of pocket and we still have it to look forward to. And at least it gives me time to share these beauties with you all!
